Romance

Ah, romance, just the one word brings a rush of sweet thoughts to your head. Keeping romance alive doesn't always come so easily.

Romance

Romance in the beginning

How many of us have gone through the early days of a relationship, filled with romance. And then a lot of us are disappointed when that romance fizzles out and sometimes becomes totally non-existant. It can come as quite a blow to many of us, what happened? We ask ourselves in vain, why doesn't he do this anymore, or that anymore? Why doesn't she say this anymore? And on and on until we come as far as breaking up sometimes. Of course if the two people have given up on romance because they are no longer interested in each other then this might be a good time to call it quits. But maybe if we take a better look we will find that the romance is gone because we have done nothing to maintain it.

Romance maintenance

Like all good things in life, romance too needs a little maintenance. The stage of extreme displays of romantic love will fade in any relationship if it is not looked after and nurtured. The feelings that are associated with those first few meetings will naturally change when two people get more used to each other. This is especially true for married couples who have been together for a long period of time. Couples need to take time and maybe some planning to show their continuing romantic feelings for one another. Surprise her and take her out for a candle lit dinner. Or stay in an draw a bath, anything that will provide a quite environment in which both of you can rejoice in the love that you feel for one another.

We all love compliments which remind us of our positive attributes. many of us get too caught up in the negatives aspects of ourselves and can completely loose sight of what our partners were attracted to in the beginning, and what they continue to be attracted to today. Remind your spouse how much you love him or her everyday, why not? Tell then about all the wonderful things that they do and how attractive they still are to you.
